On Sunday 19th June Nadia competed at the National NDP Grade 1 Finals, this was her last Grade competition.
She performed beautiful routines which saw her place 6th overall in Great Britain and 1st in England.
Nadia started her competition on Range and Conditioning where she showcased her amazing strength and flexibility which put her in 6th position. Next up was vault, Nadia is a very powerful and elegant gymnast and performed a dynamic vault to place her 8th on this piece of apparatus. She then moved over to bars where warm up didn’t quite go to plan but she put it behind her and performed a clean routine. The competition was tough on bars with beautiful routines across the board, Nadia placed 25th. Next was beam where Nadia really showed her elegance with a solid beam routine, gaining the highest execution score to place 8th. Last up was floor, Nadia performed a beautifully stylish routine and came 9th on this apparatus.
Nadia was also competing as part of the East Midlands team who placed 7th overall.
Only 5 weeks ago Nadia had an accident in the gym which left us wondering if she was going to be able to compete so we are so proud of how she presented herself at the competition.
We can’t wait to see how well Nadia progresses over the next few years!
