On Saturday 25th March, Emily attended her first every British Championships. Not only was this the first for Emily it was also the first for the club.
Emily competed in the British Disability Masters held in Liverpool. She was against other gymnasts across Great Britain some who were a few years older than her. It was a big event with the likes of Becky Downie, Alice Kinsella and the Gadirova Twins competing in the same arena.
This was a huge achievement for Emily who took the whole weekend in her stride. She performed beautiful routines on Bars and Beam where she placed 5th and 6th on these apparatus.
We couldn’t be prouder of Emily and can’t wait to see if she qualifies for next year!
A huge thank you to her gym buddy Elise for keeping her calm throughout the competition.
